September brings a natural sense of transition. For many, it means returning to school, reestablishing routines, and finding a new rhythm after the summer months. We are stepping into the season with plenty of exciting updates!
Please welcome new members to the BHBA team, along with new opportunities to make high-quality care more accessible through reduced-fee services with our doctoral externs. We’re excited to launch something new: DBT Next Steps, an advanced DBT group focused on helping participants build greater independence, pursue meaningful work, and continue creating a life worth living.

Affordable, Evidence-Based Care at BHBA
We’re excited to offer reduced-fee CBT and DBT therapy with our doctoral externs for this academic year, Kira Gresser and Bailey Todtfeld who provide care under the close supervision of BHBA’s licensed clinical psychologists.
This is a unique opportunity for individuals and families to access high-quality, evidence-based treatment at a more affordable rate. Our externs work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral challenges while receiving ongoing training and supervision from our experienced clinical team.
Reduced-fee openings are currently available. To learn more about availability or determine whether this may be a good fit for you or your family, contact bhbaadmin@bhbehavioralassociates.com.

DBT Next Steps Group
Ready to take the next step? You’ve learned the DBT skills—now it’s time to put them into action.
DBT-ACES (Accepting the Challenges of Employment and Self-Sufficiency) is a 24-week group designed for clients who have completed, or are nearing completion of, standard DBT and are ready to build greater independence, confidence, and momentum in their everyday lives.
The group is especially helpful for those navigating challenges with work, school, finances, routines, procrastination, perfectionism, burnout, or workplace anxiety. DBT-ACES helps bridge the gap between knowing your skills and using them to create the life you want. Clients may continue working with their primary individual therapist.
What We’ll Work On
Together, group members will focus on practical, real-world goals such as:
- Building sustainable routines and strengthening executive functioning
- Navigating workplace and school environments
- Managing anxiety, perfectionism, procrastination, and burnout
- Strengthening boundaries and self-advocacy
- Working toward employment, education, financial, and personal independence
The group is structured as a collaborative, goal-oriented meeting. Members set specific weekly goals, problem-solve obstacles together, practice applying DBT skills to real-life challenges, and build accountability and support as they move forward.
