Who We Are

Kira Gresser, Extern

Kira Gresser is a first-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University and joins the team as an extern at Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates (BHBA). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Villanova University, where she developed a strong foundation in community-based care and gained an appreciation for the importance of interdisciplinary approaches to supporting individuals and families.

Kira has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from preschool-aged children through adulthood, and with a range of clinical presentations and individual needs, including autism and substance use disorders. Through these experiences, she has developed a passion for creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. Kira believes in meeting each client where they are and taking a strengths-based, individualized approach to treatment. She is particularly interested in building strong therapeutic relationships and helping clients navigate challenges and work toward meaningful, positive change.

Kira is excited to be part of the BHBA team and looks forward to continuing to grow as a clinician while supporting the clients and families she works with.

Outside of her clinical work, Kira enjoys trying new restaurants, going for runs, and reading.
