Amanda Hawkins, LMSW
Amanda Hawkins is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) at Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates (BHBA). She joins the team with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families across school, community, and clinical settings.
Her expertise in behaviorism and treating kids with special needs gives her a strong foundation to deliver top-notch, evidence-based treatment to neurodivergent kids. Amanda provides Parent Management Training (PMT) and delivers Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to all ages. She integrates mindfulness and play-based interventions into her sessions and is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Guided by the belief that practical skills, caring relationships, and consistent support can help young people and families move from overwhelm to confidence, Amanda is deeply committed to helping clients build emotional regulation, resilience, and self-understanding. Her clinical style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, tailored to meet the needs of each individual and family she supports.
