EMDR
The Center for Traumatic Stress was created to address four converging potently psychologically challenging events. First is the psychological sequela from the daily exposure NYC hospital essential workers face working with COVID-19 rates. Second is the psychological strain on parents of daily exposure to kids struggling with emotional disabilities during COVID-19 homestay. Third is the economic instability and unknown future NYC residents now face, and fourth, how the radical activism is rapidly changing the NYC landscape.
We are here to treat, primary and secondary trauma, suicide struggles, PTSD, acute stress disorder, complicated grief, isolation, depression, anxiety, phobias, and increased avoidance. It is possible that these struggles exacerbate an already existing psychological disorder, such as OCD, PTSD, depression or anxiety.
Clinicians at BHBA have multiple modalities to draw from to assist in your healing.
